The other day I was cleaning out one of my houses and found the typical self help books left amongst the discarded remnants of someone's life. Did he ever read these books and it didn't help or is it more than just the book? Dumb question...

He/she/Us probably read the book. That is always the 1st/easiest step. What is required next is small, actionable steps towards the goals you learned about in the book. Did you order business cards? Did you cut out alcohol/caffeine/sugar from your diet? Did you order the bandit signs? (LOL) Bottom line-reading about it and making it happen are 2 different things.

Cut out the Alcohol???Almost... Cut out the sugar??? Pretty much...Cut out the caffine??? You'll have to pry my cold dead fingers from around my coffee cup!!!
Small actionable steps are one way to start. Another way is to find a business partner who shares your passion for Real Estate investment and move forward together encouraging one another and sharing both the risk and the eventual reward. I convinced my younger brother to become a Landlord with me. We pooled our resources for that first Duplex and we've been investing together ever since. That was back in 1982! We jumped in with both feet and figured it out as we went. Not exactly what the Guru's recommend but it CAN work.
